Hart Group completed the Nigeria EITI audits for 1999-2004, working in conjunction with its consortium, and has continued to work on the 2005 audits. The main aims in most cases were dual purpose: audit combined with developmental aims.
The initial analysis was based on audit processes but the principal aims were to advise on better ways of doing things, in the interests of further development of the sectors or enterprises concerned.
These projects were all successful and were applauded by the World Bank. The firm's work received numerous references at the recent EITI Oslo conference.
