| Addax Gabon "The Gabon offshore license areas are a combination of production, development and exploration properties offshore Gabon that are all operated by companies other than Addax Petroleum. They cumulatively cover a gross area of approximately 5,005,200 acres (20,255 km2) and contain two producing oil fields (Etame Marin and Avouma/South Tchibala) and one undeveloped oil field (Ebouri), all within the Etame Marin license area. There are also several unappraised oil discoveries and identified prospects. " - Read more http://www.addaxpetroleum.com/operations/gabon/country_overview |

| Total Gabon "In 2003, ELF Gabon became TOTAL Gabon. For the first half of 2003, the production of the oil fields operated by Total Gabon increased by 1%, in relation to the first half of 2002. On the other hand, the decline of the production of the Rabi field operated by Shell Gabon has notably slowed down thanks to the first results of the re-development programme called phase III (for the first half, the decrease has been reduced to 7% from last year first half, compared to a decrease of 31% the year before). The estimated Total Gabon share of the oil produced amounted to 13.5 million of barrels, compared to 14.3 million of barrels for the first half of 2002 (- 5.6 %). | Perenco "Exploration has delivered a number of successful developments in Gabon such as Ompoyi and Orindi (offshore) and Oba (onshore) fields, the latter being the largest discovery to be made in the country in the last 5 years. An active exploration campaign has seen an increase in exploration. In 2007, Perenco completed the acquisition of 600 square kilometres of 3D seismic data over the Arouwe license; these data are currently being processed and will lead to evaluation during the remainder of this year to lead to potential well locations for the 2009 Offshore West Africa drilling campaign. Perenco also recently completed the drilling of the suspended Andende well to a final TD of 4373mMD to test a high pressure gas play in the Madiela Formation. This well has attempted to open a new play system in Gabon, and the results are being evaluated. Perenco has recently completed a detailed description of the hydrocarbon systems in the Gabonese basins to understand their development and sediment fill, to determine the play elements and define play fairways that have material potential. This will allow Perenco to focus on plays that have the potential for material prospects, and we are in the process of updating the exploration portfolio. | marathon oil Marathon holds a 56.25 percent working interest in three offshore production fields in Gabon: Tchatamba Marin, Tchatamba South and Tchatamba West. Marathon is the operator of all three fields. Production is processed on a single facility at Tchatamba Marin, with processed oil being transported through a pipeline to a nonoperated onshore facility. Located 15 miles offshore and approximately 100 miles southeast of Port Gentil, the Tchatamba Marin Field was discovered in 1995 and began production in early 1998. The Tchatamba South and West fields were discovered in 1997 and came on stream in 1999 and 2000, respectively. A major project was completed in 2002 that consisted of installing a 27-mile pipeline for tie-in to Total's existing onshore Rabi-Kounga pipeline, which flows to the Cap Lopez offloading terminal just north of Port-Gentil. - Read more http://www.marathonoil.com |
